After a long wait filled with leaks and speculations, Nothing has finally returned with its highly anticipated number series—Nothing Phone 3. On 3rd July 2025, the brand officially launched the phone on its global website. This time, Nothing has shocked everyone—not just with its pricing, but also with changes in the camera, processor, and battery. This blog covers our first impressions of the Nothing Phone 3 at a global level, and by the end of it, you’ll understand why Nothing did what it did with this phone.
Design – Bold, But Questionable

The Nothing Phone 3 features a metal frame with a matte finish, offering a premium in-hand feel. However, the signature Glyph lights are now gone. We don’t know if they’ll return in future models, but their removal is a surprising move.
Now for the controversial part—the camera module. Honestly, there’s no actual module. Instead, you’ll see camera lenses randomly placed on the back, which many users may find weird or unstructured. There’s also a tiny circular display, but it’s unclear what meaningful use it provides. When recording, a small red square lights up to indicate it’s active. The back has Gorilla Glass 7i protection, but overall, the design feels a bit directionless and leaves us questioning, “Why did Nothing do this?”
Display – Decent but Doesn’t Match the Price
The phone sports a 6.67-inch LTPS AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of brightness, it hits 4500 nits (peak) and 1600 nits (typical), which is acceptable. It also supports HDR content on YouTube and Netflix, but the display tech—LTPS—is underwhelming for the Nothing Phone 3 Price.
The only visually pleasing part is the thin bezels on the front. You can toggle between 60Hz and 120Hz refresh rates, and the color output is good, but it doesn’t justify the Nothing Phone 3 Price in this competitive market.
Performance – Powerful Chip, But Still…
Let’s talk about performance. The Nothing Phone 3 Price starts at over $600 (INR 55,000), which sets high expectations. Surprisingly, Nothing went with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, paired with UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5X RAM. Performance-wise, this is a solid setup for high-end gaming and multitasking.
But here’s the thing—at this price point, you expect more. Yes, the performance is smooth, but due to the metal body, it heats up slightly during extended usage. Again, not a major issue, but it doesn’t help justify the Nothing Phone 3 Price.
Software – Clean but No Big Upgrade
The Nothing Phone 3 comes with Nothing OS 3.5, based on Android 15. It’s the same OS running on the Phone 3a series, with no noticeable upgrades so far. However, Carl Pei confirmed during the event that Nothing OS 4.0 based on Android 16 will roll out soon.
The brand has promised 4 years of Android updates and 7 years of security patches, which is a big plus and does add value to the Nothing Phone 3 Price.
Camera – A Total Confusion
One of the most confusing aspects of the launch was the camera segment. The phone features a triple-camera setup, but in the event, Nothing spent just 3 to 5 minutes talking about it, without much explanation or demo shots.
On paper, it looks like the camera is worse than the Phone 3a Pro, which is quite disappointing. We’ll share a more detailed review on the camera later, but from the event alone, we’re not confident about this camera setup—especially at the Nothing Phone 3 Price.
AI Features – “Essential Space”
After introducing it in the Phone 3a Pro, Nothing added a feature called “Essential Space” in Phone 3 as well. It uses AI to summarize screenshots, extract key points, and store them in a single app. This sounds promising but wasn’t well explained in the event, so it’s hard to judge its real-world usefulness.
Battery – Underwhelming Capacity
The battery is perhaps the most underwhelming part of the phone. With a 5500mAh silicon battery, it sounds okay, but in reality, it’s the lowest density battery we’ve seen in this category. However, Nothing has increased the charging speed to 65W, which somewhat balances the disappointment.
Still, when you factor in the Nothing Phone 3 Price, the battery setup feels like a compromise.
Nothing Phone 3 Price – Where It All Goes Wrong
Let’s break down the variants:
- 8GB + 256GB: ₹79,999 ( $799 )
- 16GB + 512GB: ₹89,999 ( $899 )
Now here’s the harsh truth: For this price, you get an LTPS AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, mediocre camera, and a low-capacity battery. That’s the Nothing Phone 3 Price reality.
This pricing puts it directly in competition with the iPhone 16, Samsung Galaxy S25, and even the OnePlus 13, which is ₹10,000 cheaper and offers better value. After the pricing reveal, the audience’s reaction was complete silence—nobody expected this.
Final Verdict – A Strange Move by Nothing
In conclusion, the Nothing Phone 3 Price is the biggest problem here. While it has decent performance and solid software support, the design, camera, and display tech fail to justify the premium price tag. With weird design choices, no wow factor in display, and mid-tier camera, it feels like Nothing took a gamble—and may have missed the mark.
If Nothing wants to maintain its reputation, it must seriously rethink its pricing and value equation. Until then, the Nothing Phone 3 Price remains its weakest link.
